The belt trailer (also called bottom unloader) is designed for transporting bulk products, such as potatoes, onions, peas, grain, carrots, pumpkins, cauliflower, wood pallets, fertiliser and salt.
Loading the belt trailer is done from the top. A belt trailer usually has a drop mat to prevent fragile products from being damaged during loading. Unloading can be done in a very proportioned way. This is done via the slide at the rear of the trailer, by means of the conveyor belt. This belt is driven by an electric drum motor.
The belt trailers we use at Smedts Logistics are designed to match the properties of the products that must be transported. In addition, the inner and outer walls of the belt trailer are made of one-piece polyester sheeting. The walls are also equipped with CFC-free insulation and do not absorb moisture. Partly because of this, our belt trailers comply with HACCP and GMP regulations and the most recent safety requirements.
